Cars and Bikes at the Frenchay Flower Show

I went along to The Frenchay Flower Show last Saturday for an hour or so - it's only on from 2pm - 5pm.
It's the first time that I've been in that area since Frenchay hospital has been flattened to make way for another housing estate - God only knows what the already congested Bristol roads are going to be like once all these estates start to be occupied!
The car and bike display is away from all the commotion of the Flower show on Frenchay common - the common is like a little bit of rural England but in the middle of a large city with a old church,a small row of quite grand looking Georgian houses and then cottages in the background.
There was of course a number of Douglas motorcycles, being locally built and another bit of local history in the form of a hillclimb car built by one of the son's of the Fry's (chocolate) family dynasty.
All in all a very pleasant gathering and maybe next year I'll take the time to wonder over to the common and take a look at what else is there.
