BMW 'Go to Work' Special

My friend Martin is up to his old tricks again building a BMW Boxer up mostly for use as his commuting to work bike (he's put his Morris Minor project on hold for the time being) As he uses the bike all year round he wants a element of practicality about it using three spoke wheels for ease of cleaning. I'm not sure about the rest of it,but already due to the wheel arrangement he's had make up a disc carrier. The rear wheel would have been a long way out of line with the front so he's had a load of weld put into the centre so as to be able machine it to suit and then bringing everything back into line.

Cimatti 50cc for sale

My friend and mot tester,Stan,at Pete Robson m/cycles has this 1971 CIMATTI 50 for sale. Starts very easily and the engine sounds great, lights etc all work, but just needs registering. He would like £1500 or no doubt a decent offer might secure too. It does need the l/hand toolbox lid making, though that looks like it shouldn't be too difficult. You'll also get the rather natty little helmet, but for it to fit will need a head the size of a walnut!

The 8th International Nailsea Bike Show

I got to the show on Sunday meeting up with my friend Adam. I'd say that they had probably squeezed more bikes into the back garden of the pub than last year with,as ever, quite a mixture of makes, models and years................something for everybody really!
I'd say the highlight for me, was my friend Steve's Kawasaki Sprint bike which he reckons will be ready for action in 2019, so that'll be interesting to see at Westonzoyland .

The Norton Cafe Racer Day 2017 pics

At times the roads on my route were wet and worringly shitty from farmers vehicles, but it didn't actually rain on my 140 mile round trip and although on the chilly side I had a enjoyable ride, as for the most part the roads are decent A roads. The bikes in the pub garden looked a little sparse when I arrived and my first thoughts were that 'I wouldn't stay long' but a short while later Barry from down the road at Bicester turned up and we had a very pleasant chat. By the time I left there were a few more bikes and surprisingly quite a few people milling about

Some lovely engineering on this, but spoilt for me by the Streetfighter twin headlamps
and the seat unit
